There many optical illusions some man-made, others natural, that can trick your brain…every time. But, do you know how illusions really work? Can you tell, for example, which line is longer or why identical circles appear to be different sizes? Why stationary shapes seem to move? It’s amazing to consider that a person’s mind can literally be ‘bent’ by a simple image. More like fooled than really bent, but optical illusions really can play tricks with you. 1. Moving Tubes
Peripheral drift causes the illusion of movement in images that obviously are not moving. As you read these words, did you notice how the tubes “move”? Fascinating, isn’t it?
